Jehovah saw the good in me,
for his loyal love endures forever.
He roused me with his discipline,
for his loyal love endures forever.
All those he loves he scourges,
for his loyal love endures forever.
He cast me out of the congregation,
for his loyal love endures forever.
Now I begin to know him,
for his loyal love endures forever.
My eyes can now see my Father,

My ears have been unstopped,

My heart leaps for joy,

My sparrow tongue sings praises,

I sing out from the branches:
"his loyal love endures forever!"
My feet grasp the branches of his holy mustard tree,
for his loyal love endures forever.
He shades me from the fiery sun,
for his loyal love endures forever.
He protects me from the roaring winds,
for his loyal love endures forever.
The bountiful leaves swallow rain and hail,
for his loyal love endures forever.
In all my ways may I take notice of him,
for his loyal love endures forever.

Jehovah, please, hold me close,

I was a fleshly fool!

I did what was gross and obscene before you.
Your loyal love endures forever.
But see now how I have changed!
Your loyal love endures forever.
Every day I rise and consider your word,
for your loyal love endures forever.
I pray to you to help me understand,
for your loyal love endures forever.
Search through me and know me,
for your loyal love endures forever.
See if there is within me any harmful thoughts,
for your loyal love endures forever.
Help me to remove those thoughts, O Jehovah,
for your loyal love endures forever.
Help me to replace them with thoughts of peace,
and not of calamity,
for your loyal love endures forever.
Teach me to call out to you in trueness,
for your loyal love endures forever.
May my feet never leave these branches,
for your loyal love endures forever.
Here I fear none except you,
for your loyal love endures forever.
May I live to see the new scrolls opened,
for your loyal love endures forever.
May I read them and inculcate them in my heart,

O Jehovah, my Father, Father of All,
Holiest of Holy Ones,
slow to anger and compassionate,
good and ready to forgive,
may I never leave the path of the righteous again.
